Intro
The 17th edition of Green Rock Fest Ruse will take place from September 20 to 22, 2025.
This year’s edition of the festival is organized with the financial support of the National Culture Fund, the municipality of Ruse, and dozens of sponsors, and is dedicated to nature conservation.
“Green Rock Inspirations” – rock music with a cause
At the beginning of the year, a competition was announced under the motto “Green Rock Inspirations,” inviting young rock bands from all over Bulgaria to compose an original song dedicated to nature.
Four bands were selected from all those who entered and will perform their songs on stage at the festival. The audience will vote, and the winning song will be recorded in a professional studio and become the calling card of Green Rock Fest Ruse.
The selected bands are: Chaos (Tutrakan), Inconvenients (Silistra), Chimera (Ruse), SMOG (Sofia)

The evening will end with a 3D mapping show projected on the facade of the Ruse City Hall, dedicated to nature and its protection. An art installation made from recyclable materials on the same theme will also be presented.

About Green Rock Fest Ruse
Created in 2009, Green Rock Fest Ruse began as a stage for young and talented rock bands from Bulgaria and the region. Its main mission is to give new bands the chance to play in front of a large audience, exchange experiences, and draw inspiration from the big names in rock music.
For 17 years, the festival has held a place of honor in the cultural calendar of the city of Ruse and has become a stage for international performances. Over the years, Green Rock Fest has hosted world-renowned rock stars such as John Lawton, Joe Lynn Turner, Nazareth, Tim “Ripper” Owens, Milenko Matić, Bonfire, Ronnie Romero, Johnny Joeli, and others.
