Alexandru Drăgulin

Alexandru-Ionuț Drăgulin is a researcher at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute and holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Bucharest. Areas of expertise: democracy and democratization processes; undemocratic political regimes; contemporary political doctrines, ideologies, and movements; Romania in the international system. His studies published for the IDR and in academic journals focus on aspects of Romania’s political history and foreign relations in the 20th and 21st centuries, totalitarian ideologies, contemporary populism in Europe, democracy in Europe after 1990, and the political system of the European Union.
