A successful year for the department of Bulgarian language at the West University of Timișoara
Svetlana Karadjova
Svetlana Karadzhova is a philologist, public figure, and researcher whose work is dedicated to the Bulgarians of Banat—a community that has preserved the Old Bulgarian language and unique traditions over the centuries. Since late 2025, she has been a lecturer in Bulgarian language at the West University of Timișoara. She says she serves as a bridge between the people of Banat and Bulgaria. She also collaborates with the Institute of Literature at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in Sofia.
