European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation East Gate

The European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation EAST GATE is a European legal entity, established on 19 March 2026, at the Palace of the Romanian Parliament. It unites public authorities from Romania, Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. The EGTC can be a direct beneficiary of ERDF, ESF+, Cohesion Fund, CEF and Horizon Europe — it can sign European funding contracts, hold its own bank accounts, hire staff and enter into contracts with third parties directly.
