Cristian Tudor Popescu

Cristian-Tudor Popescu is a journalist and writer. After 1989, he worked for Adevărul, a newspaper he ran until 2005, when he founded Gândul with part of the Adevărul editorial staff and became the director of the new newspaper. Between 2003 and 2006, he was president of the Romanian Press Club. In 2015, he left Gândul newspaper. He is currently the producer of the shows "Cap Limpede" on Digi24 and "Piața Victoriei" on Europa FM. He founded Republica, together with Claudiu Pândaru, Florin Negruțiu and Alex Livadaru. He holds a PhD in cinema and media, with a thesis on propaganda and manipulation in Romanian film, and is a member of the Romanian Writers' Union and the Romanian Filmmakers' Union.
